+RW formatieren?

    Lese da im Pi-Forum, dass DVD+RW vor dem Einsatz formatiert werden müssen. Habe das mit DVD-RW noch nie machen müssen...


    Ist das wirklich so und zwar immer, oder vom Rohling abhängig?

    Ich übersetz' nur mal den Anfang :


    Wenn Du einen Tisch neu beschreiben willst, muss der Tisch vorher gedeckt werden. Wenn Du was anderes decken willst, solltest Du das im Hinterzimmer machen, unsichtbar für andere. Dafür kannst Du nahezu alles benutzen und das zu jeder Zeit.

    Pioneer behauptet das man DVD-RW die mit dem A03 beschrieben werden sollen vorher "formatieren" soll. (Den Link habe ich irgendwo in unsererm Forum - wo das zuletzt auch behandelt wurde) ..


    An anderer Stelle behauptet Pioneer das einer der wesentlichen Unterschiede zwischen dem A03 und dem A04 der wäre, das man dies bei dem A04 nicht machen muß.


    Das ganze ist voll der Blödsinn weil ich auch mit dem A03 noch nie eine DVD-RW formatieren mußte und es trotzdem ging. Bei meinen A04 wäre ich da eh nie auf so ne Idee gekommen.

    Wie war das noch, Helmut?

    Bei +RW merkst Du von dem ganzen Vorgang auch nix. Das Formatieren geschieht praktisch gleichzeitig mit dem Schreiben - und weil das so schön elegant ist, hat's die -RW Welt flugs kopiert, und verkauft es dem ahnungslosen Consumer als innovatives Feature. Dabei ist's nur abgekuckt, ätsch...

    Ja schon - aber warum zum Henker hat Pioneer behauptet der A03 müßte die DVD-RW komplett löschen (formatieren) ? War noch nie notwendig !
