    Hi again,


    I want to do an effect in MPP 4.0 and was wondering if you could help me.


    I want to gradually speed up a scene then goes back to normal speed, then speed it up again, then go to slow motion. Can I do it in MPP? How could I do it? A step by step discription would be very nice. I'm new to this software.

    Thanks Günter. Nice tutorial.


    Now I have another question. I'm editing a project right now on MPP4 and althought I have clips starting from the first little square in the storyboard, I have a gap on the beginning of my timeline. My project don't start on the beggining of the timeline, it starts a little later. I have a space before my project and I can't correct it. Do you know how?

    Der Timelinebeginn ist nicht wichtig in MP4.


    Du hast 2 Linien in der Timeline.


    1 einen grüne Linie für die Preview


    2 einen gelbe Linie für die Projektlänge beim Rendern



    diese beiden Linien kannst du Schieben und Trimmen.



    Gehe mit der Maus zum Anfang der gelben Linie, halte die Taste CTRL und trimme nach links oder rechts zum Anfang deines Projektes.


    Eine andere Möglichkeit:


    Schalte die Timeline auf 1Frame View markiere alles und ziehe es mit der Maus auf 00:00:00:00

    Hey, Can you tell how to letterbox in16:9 in MPP4? I shot in 4:3, but framed for 16:9. Now I need to crop it to 16:9 applying a mask or something.


    Also, can I deinterlace footage (to get a progressive scan look) in MPP4? How?


    P.S= I kow I can in premiere 6.0 by marking, right click, and pick always deinterlace.

    deinterlace the footage in the import- setup....



    in the render- setup use „non fieldorder“
    when you use this feature

    !!!the intellirendering is disabled!!!!


    and the renderengine rerendered every frame in the projekt .....

    three ways


    1) you can select the projekt as an 16/9 wide screen NTSC or PAL D1 format


    2) in the FX folder is a systemfolder...
    open this folder...
    use the propertyfilter.


    this filter changes the scale


    3) you also can use a letterboxmask

    Part1
    Produce a PALD1 project 720x576
    Use from the object folder the Dynamik Color function.
    Produce a white picture in the track A
    Set the format filter(FX/SYSTEM/Aspect Change) and select 16:9 format
    You see a 16:9 letterbox black and white.
    Store this as single frame Tga format under the name Letterbox.TGA.



    Part 2
    Produce a new PALD1 project 720x576
    Use a video in the track A or B.
    Use from the folder FX/Alpha.. the filter USER MASK
    Use this filter with your video
    Afterwards select in the selection window the option "STILL IMAGE"
    Select your TGA picture "LETTERBOX.TGA"
    The type character box effect is finished

    How about titling? How can I do something like this?

    I would like to have it still and rolling acorss the sreen. Is it hard to do?

    I tried that but it didn't work. Maybe the file was bigger than 49kb.
    I wanted to upload a pic from the effects manual (blend 1.3.15). It has a picture of a title over a clip where inside the title we have another clip. It's in blending. That's what I wanted to do. I wanted still titles in the midle of the screen and rolling across the screen.
