Hi, TOM :

ALDIaner nur gare, station oder Bahnhof.
Asche auf mein Haupt!. Latürnich. Nur, Die wollen das garnicht verstehen. Die wollen was sehen. Ich weiss nicht , ob ihr auch 'ne Mail von Ligos bekommen habt. Ich hab' mich mal vor einiger Zeit bei denen wegen 'nem Bug im Programm beschwert, aber keine Antwort erhalten. Stattdessen kam heute folgende Mail :
>>>>Hello!
Below, you will find some helpful tips and hints on how to use the LSX- MPEG
Encoder.
1) How to shorten the time for encoding?
* Make sure the uncompressed AVI video is the same frame size as the intended
output. This will avoid the need to resize.
* Change the IPB settings. The default sequence is 3 P-frames between I-frames
and 2 B-frames between P-frames. For faster encoding and higher quality, you
can reduce the amount of B-frames because B-frames require more encoding time
than P-frames.
* Lower motion estimation. Note that when lowering motion estimation, quality
may be sacrificed for speed.
2) What does this error mean? "Encoding parameters for the MPEG video stream do
not satisfy constrained parameters specification."
This error message appears when you are trying to encode an MPEG-1 outside of
the constrained parameters. The set of parameters that define the MPEG-1
Standard is known as "constrained parameters". Although it is possible for the
LSX-MPEG Encoder to create MPEG-1 files with frame sizes of up to 4095x4095 and
data rates greater than 1812 kbits/sec, you must disable the "constrained
parameters" option in the Advanced options MPEG-1 property page.
Note: Not all decoders can play MPEG-1 files if some parameters exceed the
limitation of constrained parameters.
3) Why is my CD authoring software rejecting my VideoCD?
Because your VCD is not compliant to VideoCD specifications.
The VideoCD specifications:
Video Stream: MPEG-1 Video
Frame Rate: 29.97 (NTSC) or 25 (PAL)
Frame Size: 352x240 (NTSC) or 352x288 (PAL)
MPEG Audio: 44.1 kHz
Data Rate: 1360 kbits/s
Video Rate: 1123 kbits/s
Audio Rate: 224 kbits/s
Simply load the MPEG-1 VideoCD NTSC or MPEG-1 VideoCD PAL profile:
FILE -> Profile Manager -> MPEG-1 VideoCD -> Load Profile
Using the data rate used above, a CD of 650 MB can hold 1 hour of video.
4) What are Sequence Header Options?
Sequence Header Options are codes within the MPEG stream that provide hints
about the nature of the stream for MPEG decoders. They include information such
as a start code, the horizontal and vertical size, frame rate, aspect ratio,
bit rate, as well as MPEG-2 extensions about profile and level. Certain
decoders look for this information, and certain MPEG applications may require
sequence headers.
For instance, MPEG-2 files for use in DVD authoring require a sequence header
for every GOP.
You can simply load the MPEG-2 DVD profile for easy load and encode.<<<<
